Welcome to the Mentorship and Advising Program for Students (M.A.P.S.) website! The M.A.P.S. program is the University of Arizona NSSLHA's mentoring program.

This program was launched in the FALL of 2007 and was sponsored by UA NSSLHA, this year it has joined forces with UA NSSLHA with the addition of M.A.P.S. as a new NSSLHA Committee. By becoming a member of UA NSSLHA, you will have the unique opportunity to become a MAPS mentee.

The M.A.P.S. program was created with a desire to raise awareness and provide information to students about opportunities in the areas of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. The aim of this program is to make educational experiences more accessible to students and to provide a communication network among students.

The purpose of M.A.P.S. is to:

  • provide information about: clinical experiences, research opportunities, graduate school preparation, field related job opportunities, and funding opportunities.
  • create a community and support system for students in the SLHS department. (Including a better link between graduate and undergraduate students)
  • help students through the graduate school application process.
  • help students to network with other individuals within the communication disorders fields.
